Beware of your Abrupt
To care for and maintain your leather shoes in good condition, we recommend some simple steps you can follow regularly to extend their lifespan. The first step is to identify the type(s) of leather they're made of.
Opaque and smooth leather
This leather should be cleaned with a damp cloth to remove dust and dirt, then moisturized with a colorless cream, and finally polished with a cloth. Our Colorless DM Self-Shining Cream is perfect for this.
Patent Leather or Richato
For this type of leather, use a clean, grease-free, lint-free, and damp cloth. For drying, a dry cloth of similar characteristics is recommended. Finally, for hydration, you can apply silicone shoe polish.
Reindeer, Nubuck or Suede
For this type of leather, it is best to use a special spray to avoid possible stains.
To clean, use a soft reindeer brush. For stubborn stains, use a special shampoo and let them dry in the shade. We recommend not drying your shoes in the sun or excessive heat, as this will dry out and harden the leather.
Creams, silicones, or oily cleansers should not be used, as this will cause the product to lose its characteristic plush finish.
Oily or waxed leather
To begin, use a slightly damp cloth to remove dirt and dust from the surface. Brushes or scrubbers are not recommended, as they can damage the leather. Once the surface is clean, apply a small amount of horse grease to the entire leather surface using a sponge to achieve an even finish.
If it becomes stained or dirty, it is recommended to use specific products for cleaning oily leather.
